We were delighted to be asked to provide catering at Penrice Birth Centre in St Austell who were celebrating re-opening 24/7.
We took with us our ever popular Roast in a Box. A lovely, succulent mix of slow-roasted Pork shoulder and Beef brisket, served in a thick, tasty and rich gravy. With this comes cauliflower cheese, mashed swede, potato cakes, stir-fried veggies, parsnip crisps, and stuffing. Served in our 100% recyclable kraft boxes.
The day was a great success and enjoyed by lots of people and expectant Mums. The bouncy castle was very popular as well as the tombola (we didn’t win 🙁 )
From Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust Facebook page:
A #brilliant show of teamwork by maternity service colleagues today cycling from Truro Birth Centre to Penrice Birth Centre to celebrate International Day of the Midwife and the resumption of 24/7 midwife cover at the St Austell Unit.
An exhausting but enjoyable way to raise funds for their Caring For You initiative, supporting staff health and wellbeing.
A wonderful Open Day, too , organised by Lead Midwife Lizzie Anstey and the team at Penrice, showing off the welcoming facilities available for parents looking for a home from home birthing experience.
